What does a doctor of chiropractic do?

Chiropractic care is an alternative medical approach that focuses on adjustments to the spine and other joints. The manipulation and focus on the musculoskeletal system and supporting systems (like muscles and ligaments) is designed to improve mobility, offer pain relief, and promote overall health.

Some chiropractors, such as our team at Restoring Health, go beyond traditional manipulation and adjustments, taking a holistic approach to wellness. In addition to chiropractic treatment, your personalized plan may include other therapies, such as therapeutic massage, laser therapy, and acupuncture.

In our experience, Chiropractic care can be a key component of a well-balanced and comprehensive approach to functional medicine.

Who benefits from chiropractic treatment?

Regardless of whether you want to address back pain, chronic pain, posture correction, or schedule routine spinal adjustments to maintain your quality of life, a qualified chiropractic office can help.

At our practice in Maitland, we treat patients for many reasons, including:

Chiropractic therapy can benefit a wide range of people. This is partly because experienced chiropractors know how to tailor a treatment plan to the individual’s specific needs and health history.

If you’re recovering from a serious workers’ compensation or auto accident injury, the approach and tools may look different than someone looking for pediatric care or family care.

If you’re experiencing any of the concerns above, or want to discuss a treatment plan focused on healing and total wellbeing, a chiropractor may be the best place to start.

What can I expect from chiropractic therapy in Maitland, FL?

At Restoring Health, our chiropractic care blends traditional and modern techniques to support your body’s natural ability to heal. We utilize a combination of hands-on adjustments, including drop table methods, as well as gentle instrument-assisted techniques like the Activator, Arthrostim, and Impulse IQ. These solutions enable us to tailor care to your comfort and needs.

In addition, we often incorporate myofascial therapy into your appointment. This technique releases soft tissue tension and supports structural alignment, resulting in longer-lasting relief for our patients.

In many cases, you may initially visit a chiropractor’s office seeking pain relief, but with the right care plan, many of our patients find that the experience supports their overall wellbeing and ability to stay active and healthy throughout their life.
