Chiropractic Care & Soft Tissue Therapy

Altamonte Springs, Florida

Our Chiropractic Physicians at Restoring Health offer a variety of Chiropractic and Myofascial techniques to treat an individual. We believe that looking at your bony structure, your muscles, your fascia and all that connects them as a whole is the fastest way to get you feeling better.

Everything in your body works together from the tips of your toes to the top of your head. Addressing all of these components can help to get you moving and feeling the way that you are supposed to so that you can live an active pain free life.

Take a look at the information below for some of the methods we use to treat physical pain in our office.

Our Techniques

Erchonia Variable Adjustor II

The science behind the Erchonia Adjustor is simple. The impulse adjustment instrument targets compressed discs or joints that cause pain to provide exceptional pain relief that can’t always be performed by hand. The pulsations of the device properly adjust the vertebrae, providing a significant reduction in symptoms.

Once the Doctor finds a misaligned area, the Erchonia Adjustor is placed and gently pushed to produce pulses that change the tone of the tissue and align the spine. For patients who are concerned about traditional chiropractic manipulation this is a go to tool.

This portable variable pulse adjusting device allows us to treat patient pain generally as well as target specific areas based on X-ray findings, and it can be used while the patient is lying down, seated, standing or in ranges of motion. This allows us to get to your pain wherever and whenever it might occur.

Erchonia Variable Percussor II

The Erchonia Percussor is used to work with the fascia of the body. Fascia is a saran wrap like covering that goes over, around and between muscle tissue. If the fascia is tight or injured it becomes crinkled like a piece of balled up saran wrap. This instrument is designed to help release the fascial tissue that surrounds an injured, painful or sore area. Due to the fact that your body’s fascia exerts hundreds of pounds of pressure on your skeleton, releasing the restrictions in this system will allow your chiropractic adjustments to be more effective and last longer. Plus, it feels great!

IMPAC Arthrostim Adjusting Tool

The Arthrostim is another instrument adjusting tool that can be used by the doctor much the same as the Erchonia Adjustor. This tool has a different vibrational frequency and different attachment heads from the other instruments in the office and is very comfortable for patient use. This tool has been in use by the chiropractic profession for almost 40 years and allows the doctor to restore normal range of motion to all the joints in the body, from head to toes. See the video below for how the motion in the neck changes before and after an Arthrostim adjustment.

Laney Instrument

The Laney instrument is a specific, very gentle instrument for adjusting the C1 and C2 vertebrae as well as bones in the skull. This instrument has the ability to be turned to a very soft intensity that is gentle enough to adjust babies. It is used by the doctor for precision adjusting and for those cases that the lightest touch is required.

Graston Tools

Our doctors are certified Graston therapy practitioners. Graston is a brand name for a type of therapy that uses hand held instruments to assist in mobilizing soft tissue in order to correct fascial restrictions, scars and adhesions to reduce a patients' pain and return them to a more normal range of motion.

Rapid Release Therapy

The Rapid Release PRO2 is a lightweight FDA registered Class 1 medical device that is ergonomically designed to provide the maximum amount of comfort to patients and practitioners. Five built-in treatment heads that deliver precise, continuous vibration treating a variety of aches and pains. Using the PRO2 gives practitioners the dynamic range to safely and effectively treat the smallest TMJ muscles to the more expansive muscles (quadriceps, hamstrings, lower back, etc).

Kinesiology Taping

Today, there are more than 50 brands of kinesiology tape on the market, but the original product, Kinesio tape or Kinesio Tex Tape, was developed in the late 1970s by Dr. Kenzo Kase, a Japanese chiropractor who wanted a tape that provided support but didn’t limit movement the way traditional athletic tapes do.

If you’ve watched a volleyball game or competitive bicycle race, you’ve probably seen it: strips of colorful tape splayed in patterns across shoulders, knees, backs, and abs. That’s kinesiology tape: a therapeutic tape that’s applied strategically to the body to provide support, lessen pain, reduce swelling, and improve performance.
